This wooden heart has been winking at me
from it's hiding place in my dining room ahem! studio

La Marquise de Sévigny was a wise woman
all the way back in the 1600s
I guess she meant a heart that loves...

More about her and the heart when it is finished,
(needs an English translation on the back)
have some other goodies on their way too.
What? You have no studio? Dining tables are always so useful - ours is a good newspaper/magazine rack more often than not!
ReplyDeletePerfect and I love the wrinkles!
ReplyDeleteJeanne :)
How sweet this is! Thanks for the recent update. I'm so excited to see what you've done for me. I'm not a calligrapher, but attended a two day workshop last week on the Poetry of Handwriting. Everyone else in the class was very talented with their quills and nibs. Made me think of my friend, Ange. I absolutely loved the workshop, learned a lot, and returned home full of inspiration! The essence of the workshop is to take one's own handwriting and play with it. Then the teacher encouraged us to keep a journal. Her mantra: Not a day without a line. So I'm trying to do just that. Your posts will keep me inspired!
ReplyDeleteWonderful sage wisdom! And a sweet sentiment for a wooden heart. ~Lili

ReplyDeleteI wanted to say thank you so much for the lovely comment you made the other day about my wedding photo, that was so nice of you!
I am counting the days til I met Kim and Kasey in Paris....3 weeks tomorrow :) I meant to ask you if there is anything you would like from London - I could give it to Kim to bring down to you.....magazines, food things, anything? Do say if there is :)
I have added Kim's "Signs by Ange" button to my blog sidebar, hope that's okay.
Hope the sun is shining where you are, it's lovely here :)
Dear Ange,
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous. I love the colour ink that you have used and I love anything to do with hearts.
You have been busy , creating..... and, creating beautifully.
The sentiment is brilliant. I haven't heard that one before. I actually think that if I could see my heart, it's probably got wrinkles by the bucket load !!!! XXXX XXXX
