"Our lives are not as limited as we think they are; the world is a wonderfully weird place; consensual reality is significantly flawed; no institution can be trusted, but love does work; all things are possible; and we all could be happy and fulfilled if we only had the guts to be truly free and the wisdom to shrink our egos and quit taking ourselves so damn seriously."
- Tom Robbins(quote found here)
In the midst of work and painting and housework
There are always gentle reminders of this.
Mind you, I have to fight to get the bowl now!

ReplyDeleteHey...licking the bowl is the best part....
Ah, juste ce qu'il me fallait entendre pour finir cette journée-à-rayer-de-mon-calendrier-perso(sigh). Bonne nuit Ange.
ReplyDeleteAngie, I always loved to lick the bowl or eat the cookie dough. Cute photo!
ReplyDeletethe bowl is the BEST part, think I have to go make cookies now!
ReplyDeleteOh for a bowl to lick! "My kingdom for a batter bowl!"...Of course I am seriously craving now...I can't remember the last time!

Great advise - you really can't take yourself too seriously while licking out the bowl! Especially if you forgo the fingers!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great reminder of how easily pleased we are with a bowl of cake batter. Can life get any better?
ReplyDeleteLovely Photo Ange
ReplyDeleteI feel like making a batch of something.. just to lick the bowl!
Your daughter is a sweetie!! . . Have a great day.. xx Julie
We have to divide the mess between the 4 of us or there is chaos; 1 person gets the bowl, one person gets the spoon and 2 people share the beaters!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday Ange!
Best wishes,
Natasha.
Great quote Ange and adorable photo!
ReplyDeleteYum! Leave some for me, I'm coming over! But seriously, what is more divine than licking the bowl?
ReplyDeleteIt's true, the ego has a lot to answer for, and it doesn't appreciate cake-mix.
ReplyDeleteWhy does anyone bother baking cakes when the mixture is nicer? Next dinner-party I'll stick chocolate cake mix in pretty ramekins and call it something fancy. Chocolate melée, perhaps.
Great picture of your daughter. nothing beats the taste of that batter! good stuff.
ReplyDeleteRita
