What do these old bedsprings (from the moth eaten base of an antique bed my parents in law were taking to the dump)
This old drum
and these antique shoe lasts (found under a pile of metal at a flea market)
all have in common?

All of them look like something I would take home as well? LOL!
ReplyDeleteThey all hold things up? (The springs hold the mattress up, the drum holds the drum skin up, and the lasts hold the body of the shoe up..."light" as in weight vs as in illumination.)
ReplyDeleteThe 3 items come are to be recycled?
ReplyDeleteThey light up the way to a better life?
Help! Can't think of anything else!

from Nathalie.
ReplyDeleteThese charms/ornaments are charming!
ReplyDeleteWell these are all hand made, the coils, maybe even the drum and the shoe lasts most certainly. They are all now being recycled. So maybe, we will find ourselves in a world of joy and peace when we make things by hand and reuse, recycle, appreciate and share ~ perhaps this has something to do with the answer.
Lovely post.
These comments are so wonderful... I'm not giving anything away though till Monday! Thanks for the first guesses... Let's see what else comes up!
ReplyDeleteI'm imagining that you will make some pogo springy footed scarecrows that will patrol your vegetable garden while beating the drum to keep the birds away from your vegetables.
ReplyDeleteAm I close?
Ok, this is a bit random but it's the best I could come up with !
ReplyDeleteThey all symbolize christmas carols ("Words of peace and joy").
1."A Marshmallow World" (that well known carol-NOT) has the line...it's a sugar date, what if SPRING is late.
2. Obviously "Little Drummer Boy".
3. "The Christmas Shoes" (another well known carol, lol)
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I think Lulu has to be close. But in case she's not - I think the springs, attached inside the drum, will hold some candles to make a beautiful light, and the shoe lasts.....??? Well I just love old shoe lasts, and I am so envious and amazed that a pile of them would be hanging around half-hidden at a flea market, so obviously you couldn't leave them there.
ReplyDeleteLovely to meet you!
oh dear, I haven't got my thinking cap on yet... music puts a spring in your step???
ReplyDeleteMaybe you're going to make a lampshade/mobile from the old drum and hang the shoelasts using the springs??? maybe not...
Need to come back to this one!
PS Lovely, lovely vintage finds, I think we'd have a field day together!
humm,
ReplyDeletece sont tous les trois des objets utilisés, ils sont vieux mais beaux etindispensables : dans la vie il faut savoir avancer, mais aussi rester zen et toujours écouter de la musique.

ReplyDeleteHello Ange,
ReplyDeleteLovely to meet you and thanks for visiting me on my blog, I just love this blogging stuff and being able to connect to other creatives!
I am going to have a go at trying to work out your clues...could it be you will be making a work of art with your items and it will have a light in it with the words Joy & Peace on it? By the way love your blog.
alors,
ReplyDeletece sont de vieux objets de récupération pouvant être réutilisés pour ma chère angie à l'imagination si débordante qu'il va m'être difficile de me prononcer ! faire un bonhomme ? construire un nouvel instrument de musique ? Qui sait ...
Hm! I could see an interesting lamp ... perhaps the wooden shoe lasts as the base, the drum "skin" as the lamp shade and the bed springs wound together in some interesting way to hold the whole thing up. Oooh ... I can't wait to see what these items become!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!

I think that it has something to do with the fabulous old rescued door with it's lovely light attached... They are all certainly things you have "rescued", but the question is, do you have a plan for them...?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear what you have in mind!
